Based upon how such things went in past i suspect that about 80% of currently avalible tools (arena, title, show, parts of charakter creation) will not be included and will be gradually introduced over 3 or more years, to give players ilusion of positive developement. In year or two there will be brand new engine running the game and as such it will be reworked from the ground. I submit to you a thought based upon other people (whom follow the series longer than i do): Originally posted by steve:A few more years with a lot of hard work and we might get something a bit closer to your request. Wrestling is built on storylines, so the game should know them when it sees them. So someone get 2K on this: hopefully they can improve the promo engine for 2K18, and get the beginnings of a storyline engine into 2K19. The champion didn't even call me out into a rivalry (though he was of course mad at me), so I had to manually start the rivalry. My character had been demanding his title shot a lot because I know those promo lines are effective and they come up frequently, I ran in on the title match because I was hoping it would give me the title when I won (it said I won it, and showed my character winning it, but ruled the match a No Contest). Of course the problem is that this is all me rationalizing what happened-the game doesn't recognize or support the storyline at all. So he does what any reasonable wrestler would do: picks up a baseball bat, attacks the champion during his entrance, goads him into the ring, and makes him tap out. He moves up to number one after the first match of the week, wins his second match, but doesn't get that title shot at the London Takeover. Seriously, how can we have a wrestling simulation without storylines? In My Career mode I'm in the middle of a storyline for the ages: frustrated at not moving up the rankings, my character starts dropping all sorts of bombs in promos denouncing the Authority, demanding his shot at the title, all that.
